Traveling to Iceland can never be considered complete if you haven’t seen the glacier lake. Jokulsarlon is the largest lake in Iceland that is filled with icebergs melting and floating from Europe’s largest glacier Vatnajokul located nearby. Iceberg around the lagoon lake eventually floats towards the sea which is only few miles away. Jokulsarlon, also known as Bond Lagoon started to form in 1920s and the size is getting bigger each day.
Best time to visit Glacier Lake
The best time to enjoy the marvelous scenic view is during the summer season, from June to August, whereby boat trip is permitted and the weather is comfortable. One can take a better and closer view of the icebergs, the ice sculptures, admiring Iceland greatest nature wonder, and watching the reflections of it on the lagoon.

Jokulsarlon is located in south east Iceland, approximately 400km from capital city Reykjavik by its national freeway Ring Road.
